WHAT IS STARTUP WARMUP?
It is a Warmup event after summer for startups, investors and young potentials to improve their pitch and network. Each pitcher has 3 minutes to present their ideas and a jury decides which is the best pitcher, startup and concept afterwards. Finally, there is an afternetwork party where Leuven Value Network “brings people together for the better”.

Jan Paesen, is the founder at Beerhive, where they help beer professionals to bring order in the cluttered world of beer flavors, using community generated sensory data; and co-founder at Viva Brews Belgium, a company which combines the best of beer and wine.

WHAT IS INNOVATION MARKET?
ᒪ ᐯ ᑎ ’s first event in 2022 Winter Innovation Market came to life as an answer to the cancelled Christmas markets due to Covid-19. It was a gathering of various startups and scaleups, presenting their best ideas at Maakleerplek. The old industrial heart of the city became the innovative hotspot of the night thanks to all the interesting people and ideas that we brought together through networking workshops featuring 9 different startups and scaleups from Leuven, presented their newest ideas and projects.

WHAT IS LEUVEN INNOVATES?
We organized our biggest hybrid event to date. With an interactive Triple Helix Panel, innovation pitches & booths and some inspiring words of Leuven’s mayor, we shined a light on Leuven’s brightest innovations.
First item on the agenda was an opening talk by the mayor of Leuven Mohamed Ridouani, followed by the virtual interactive panel consisting of 3 innovation experts covering the triple helix of academic, industry and government.
